New Rule Being Implemented February 20

We are going to be implementing a new rule as of February 20th, a rule that I assume is going to be rather unpopular among some of our members but one that I feel needs to be implemented at this point.

Rule #25 will be about multi-clanning. That is, being in more than one clan at a time. This isn't a rare rule and most communities have this kind of a rule as well. I have tried for a long time to not have to implement something like this but the continual allowance of multi-clanning has burned DCRP many times now. It isn't worth it for me or the staff to constantly be put into these situations.

So effective on February 20th, members who hold a whitelisted job or gang position will not be permitted to play on multiple servers. You signed up for a whitelisted role in DCRP so we expect you to play the role you signed up to do. When you sign up you accept responsibility for contributing some time so you aren't letting other people do all the work. This is as true for police as it is for a gang or mechanic.

This only applies to whitelisted roles in our server, not everyone across the board. A regular member that plays casually isn't a big deal. But if you want to be whitelisted into a job, you need to actually be committed to the job here.

Speaking for myself, I am tired of people signing up for positions in DCRP so they can sit on the fence and use it as leverage to gain a new position elsewhere. We are a free service that I spend 10+ hours a day on, and dealing with petty drama because people want to play the field wastes my time when I could be getting updates out for everyone to enjoy.

I am not going to name the servers, but at this point, someone has left DCRP and poached our members to create their own server 7 times and we've only been up for about 8 months. Most of the time these people eventually come back to DCRP asking to be let in again. Don't be one of those people.

We survive everything that is thrown at us because we have years of experience, professional education and the will to get shit done. We can weather every storm, and we will keep doing it. With or without the disloyal.
